It’s always a trying time when you first move into an area. All those things you need to know. Where is the nearest doctor’s surgery? When does the dustman call? REFUSE COLLECTION EVERY MONDAY. All refuse collection has changed to the wheelie bin system. Black bins for household refuse, Green bins for recycling. and a small food bin for any food scraps, including, skin and bones. The black or green bins will be collected on alternate weeks whilst  The food bin can go out every week. These bins are free but there is a small annual charge for a garden refuse (Brown) bin. Contact Ashford Council.

The nearest refuse site is at Cobbs Wood Industrial Estate, Brunswick Road, Ashford TN23 1EL.
Opening Hours
Monday to Saturday: 8am - 4.30pm  Sunday and Bank Holidays: 9am - 4pm
Open barrier: Wednesday and Saturday (height barrier will be opened to give access to vehicles over 2 metres high, carrying domestic waste).Closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
MOBILE LIBRARY will be found at the top end of the Park every  other Wednesday morning between.11.45am & 12.10pm
WET FISH VAN Calls on the Park around lunch time every Thursday. Toots his horn at strategic points to let you know he has arrived.

JEMPSONS SUPERMARKET. FREE BUS. Calls at the Park  to ferry would-be customers
to and from the supermarket

PAPER COLLECTION BY THE SCOUTS.
Newspapers only are collected by the local scouts the second Sunday of every month.  In order to speed up the collection process, please put any newspapers out  by the kerb , preferably in a carrier bag or box.

FISH & CHIP VAN
Brown’s fish and chip van is parked in the car park adjacent to Woodchurch village green every Wednesday from about 4.30pm until 7pm. In the event you decide to visit he van and use the service, tell them you are from Shirkoak Park and if enough Park residents use the van it may be worth their while visiting the Park.

TESCO BUS  Calls at the Park every  Wednesday  morning at approx. 10a.m.
